Step 1: Unbundling Downloaded Files

Use the tar command to extract the MemoryScape files contained within the installation tar file. These files are either downloaded from our web site or obtained from a CD-ROM. For example:

tar xvf memscape-version-platform.tar 
tar xvf memscape-version-doc.tar
