Rogue Wave Software Releases New Versions of Two Flagship Products

Rogue Wave Software, the largest independent provider of cross-platform software development tools and embedded components, announces new releases of two flagship products – TotalView and SourcePro. These releases echo Rogue Wave's ongoing commitment to help software developers accelerate great code.

  • TotalView is Rogue Wave's large-scale debugger for parallel applications written in C, C++, and Fortran. Designed to improve developer productivity and make efficient use of compute resources, TotalView simplifies and shortens the process of developing, debugging, and optimizing complex applications. TotalView 8.14 is faster and more responsive at-scale, supports new platforms, and extends our powerful type transformation support to cover more C++ template collection objects. With this release, we also provide early access to a record-and-save function in TotalView's reverse debugging capability, ReplayEngine.

“TotalView 8.14 streamlines the developer workflow, displaying information about large programs clearly and reducing the number of lists that users have to manage,” says Chris Gottbrath, principal product manager. “With each TotalView release, we're addressing the programming needs that arise in complex development to ensure code quality.”

Rogue Wave continues our commitment to supporting the platforms today's developers use to engineer modern applications. TotalView 8.14 now supports CUDA™ 6.0, while continuing to support major platforms such as OpenACC® and the Intel® Xeon® Phi™.

  • SourcePro is a complete set of cross-platform C++ development components, including tools and libraries for database, networked, and Internet-enabled applications. SourcePro reduces time to market, increases reliability, and prolongs application life.

SourcePro 13.0 meets two critical development needs: conforming to the latest security standards, and supporting the latest platforms, compilers, and databases.

All SourcePro modules pass Rogue Wave Klocwork static code analysis tool to comply with the latest security standards including CWE, CERT, OWASP, DISA STIG, and MISRA.

“Using Klocwork to ensure that SourcePro conforms with security standards is just another way that Rogue Wave excels at creating development tools,” says Dominique Payannet, senior director of product development.
