Software Engineer--Entry Level

Accelerated growth of our TotalView business has led to a need to expand our Continuing Engineering team. For this permanent entry-level position, we are looking for a professional engineer to provide continuing support for existing features for the TotalView Debugger.

The primary responsibilities for this position are:

  • Analyze and fix defects in the company's software products
  • Design and implement support for new compilers and OS updates
  • Maintain and improve the regression test system
  • Work closely with our development team to implement new product features

The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years C++ and 3 years+ UNIX/Linux experience
  • UNIX/Linux application development experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and communications skills
  • Experience with software development issues such as software design
  • techniques, good coding practices, and source code control
  • B.S. in computer science or an engineering discipline (M.S. preferred)

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

  • Developing tools such as compilers, linkers, profilers, or debuggers
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and OS internals
  • Knowledge of parallel and distributed systems
  • Experience with parallel environment tools such as MPI, OpenMP, POE, etc.
